Description
We are the Wild Tongue Backpackers, situated between The Crags and Nature's Valley.
Encircled by indigenous forest and fynbos covered slopes, our farm is nestled on a hilltop overlooking the Tsitsikamma mountain range and Peak Formosa.
Spend your evenings under the stars in our beautifully crafted Driftwood Boma and outdoor braai area.
Our Log Cabin with its welcoming fireplace, hardwood floors and comfy couches becomes home all year round.
Have a drink and absorb the art that is created by our staff and visitors. Alun says "Toopilonki once took over the planet..."

Mountain Tours:
For those of an adventurous nature, we offer a trip up into the Tsitsikamma Mountains to explore one of the richest floral kingdoms in the world... Just the sounds and sights of untouched Nature!
Farmstall:
Collect your own fresh farm milk and free range eggs in the morning or afternoon. Stop off for lunch, play with baby cows and choose from their delicious election of fresh farm produce.
Elephant Sanctuary:
The Elephant Sanctuary is an amazing place to spend a couple of hours. Learn about these majestic animals through close interaction with them and their trainer. Rides also available.
Birds of Eden:
Birds of Eden has a wide variety of birds from all over the world. This is the largest free flight bird
aviary in the world. From their restaurant you can have a bite and get a closer look at the water birds.
Bungy Jump:
The Bloukrans Bungy Jump will take your breath away by providing the opportunity to fall 216m off this spectacular bridge. Jump, walk, swing or fly... You choose!
Snake Park:
Lawnwood Snake Park opens a window into the lives of these secretive creatures, a wonderful way to spend your afternoon. The park offers the service of rescuing the snakes from populated areas and relocating them into the wild.
