Wild Almond Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom thatch roofed cottage comprising two bathrooms, a lounge and kitchen, with a refreshing plunge pool were guests are welcome to cool off after their travels. From the lush garden, were guests can enjoy a traditional barbecue, are stunning views of the Langerberg Mountains.

McGregor is a popular destination for visitors because of its remote location and old world charm. The annual Food and Wine Festival, held in August, showcases superior wines from the valley as well as local food specialities.

Character: The McGregor Adobe construction method, of its quaint cottages is a gorgeous peek into a bygone age. Buildings are still being built in traditional Adobe style using eco-friendly materials.

Great Outdoors: If you enjoy hiking, McGregor certainly hosts some fabulous walking trails, including the 14 km hike across the mountains into Greyton.

Historical & Cultural: McGregor was founded by Scottish missionaries in the 19th century and is famous for its Palmiet thatched, adobe constructed cottages. There are also various historical walks available.

Honeymoon Romance: A romantic rural setting, quiet tree-shaded streets and intimate little restaurants, makes McGregor an ideal getaway for the romantically inclined.

Outstanding Views: The Langerberg Mountains form an impressive backdrop to the village of McGregor, while beautiful green vineyards offset the rugged magnificence of the Klein Karoo.

Dennis and Maureen have a special little gem, we felt so welcome in their lovely, homely, tastefully decorated, comfortable, peaceful cottage. Its very well equipped and quiet special with extra care taken and attention to detail that made the stay very enjoyable indeed.

From the moment we arrived, every detail of this magical cottage appealed to us. Dennis, the kind owner, had contacted us with directions and advice on where to shop which allowed us to arrive stress free. The charm of this cottage manifests in the elegant décor and feel. Everything had been thought of. Add to this the fact that it is only a short walk from the the village centre, and there really is not a better place to sit back and enjoy McGregor. Thanks Dennis!
