Nestled below the majestic Ncaga Mountain, overlooking the activities of a working farm, lies the Whistling Duck Farm cottage. The cottage and its surroundings cater for many needs - whether you are looking for peace and tranquility or outdoor adventure - there is much on offer.

This luxury self-catering cottage offers you the opportunity to break away from your daily routine and relax in a country environment, this is definitely a place to restore your senses and revive your soul.

The cottage is situated in the heart of Lüneburg, which was established as a German missionary post in 1854 - today Lüneburg has an active farming community, is home to the oldest German school in Northern Natal, boasts an excellent butchery, a unique farm cash store and two beautiful churches which are well worth a visit.

This is the 2nd time we have visited Whistling Duck and like before we had a wonderful stay! We were 8 persons instead of the recommended 6 persons but for Juliane it was no trouble adding 2 mattresses for the kids. There was more than enough cut and croc for all. Extremely neat, beautiful setting, peaceful, peaceful! Kids went canoeing, lovely NOT to have a TV + included enough braai wood and charcoal to have a cosy braai and fire! Friendly dogs and cats visiting - would recommend Whistling Duck in a heart beat!

We had a delightful time at the Whistling Duck cottage. Wonderful location and wonderful facilities. Ideal for young children with the trampoline and jungle gym and the farm animals just next door.

The best B and B we visited so far. Juliane made us feel right at home and the supper and breakfast she prepared was absolutely superb. If you love nature and animals, this is the perfect place to stay. Thank you Juliane,and Boris for making our stay an unforgettable one.

The luxury cottage is self-catering, has three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms. Towels and linen are supplied and changed every three days. The open-plan kitchen is well equipped with all modern necessities including a complete range of crockery and cutlery, pots and pans. The lounge and dining room open onto a full length covered verandah where a magnificent view of the dam and its birdlife can be enjoyed. The cottage is serviced daily.
