Facilities

Watkins Farm was established as a base from which to run adventure school camps and tailor-made beach, bush, berg and battle tour itineraries.

There are plenty of accommodation options to choose from, depending on the size of the group and purpose of the stay. All accommodation is equipped with a small stove and clean bathroom facilities. Stay in one of the two dormitories, the servants quarters that had been refurbished to sleep six on bunk beds, or The Thatch Hatch, a small cottage that sleeps three people.

Set in a tranquil, natural valley in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, the farm has over 600 km of mountain biking or hiking paths and offer activities like fly-fishing and clay pigeon shooting.

Watkins Farm have taken over 4000 kids on tour and are fully certified in all guiding aspects. We also cater for societies, photographers, retreats and outdoor clubs and groups of mates swimming the Midmar Mile, guests sweating away at mountain biking or golfing competitions, or perhaps even attending music festivals.

Excellent value for money in a serene setting. Reggie was most helpful and accommodating. The only downside was the dirt roads in a small vehicle.
