Description
Watercourt Lodge is situated on the R62 in Barrydale, 250 km from Cape Town. Built in local stone and traditional Karoo style, the lodge has seven stylish double rooms, each opening onto a garden courtyard with lily ponds, tree ferns and the a water feature. We have made an effort to provide the best linen and bathroom facilities.
Tasty breakfasts are served by the Simply Food restaurant on the patio, which is open until 20h00. Guests may relax by the fire in the lounge during winter. Two of the double rooms are fitted with wheelchair friendly bathrooms; laundry services are available, plus there is secure off-street parking. The lodge may be hired as a small conference venue by request, and we offer free single rooms to the tour guides of small tour groups.
Attractions in the area include wine tours, scenic mountain walks and drives, 4x4 trails, a variety of excellent restaurants, hot springs and a quirky, artistic community.
