We spent 1 night, and Desire was very accommodating, moving beds around to suit our needs and upgraded our rooms at no cost to fit us all in. The views are excellent, the house is atmospheric with loads of beautiful paintings, and breakfast was superb. I am definitely booking in again soon!

A relaxing stay
We had a lovely stay. I especially enjoyed the fruit salad and yoghurt breakfasts. It is an easy walking distance to the beach, and guests have free access in and out of the home at any time.

Description
Walkerbay Manor an Artist’s Home is owned and managed by Desiré de Klerk. We offer warm hospitality, attention to detail and great country breakfasts and is literally a stone’s throw away from the best whale watching spots. For the golf fanatic, the Hermanus golf club is 200m away and Arabella Golf Estate only 20 minutes away. “an Artist’s Home” is housing all fine art from “Desiré de Klerk – impressionism”. Each en-suite room has original art hanging on the walls and the downstairs lounge, foyer and dining room areas is a “gallery” of art for sale by the South African artist. We have 5 rooms in total, all are en-suite and two of them are inter-leading which is great for families. One of these rooms is also wheelchair friendly and fitted for the disabled. Children above 12 yrs very welcome - we have the perfect family suite - a main bedroom with twin beds with a converter to offer a king size bed and a room with twin beds, each with own bathroom. A door closes off this section from the rest of the house which ensures privacy. Our Eagle Room and Albatross Rooms are on the first floor and apart from being spacious and very well appointed, offers great mountain and sea views. Our guests even spot whales from these rooms! Tend to your soul, nurture your passion, treat your days like a work of art! We are offering artist holidays from Mondays to Fridays, please enquire. Our home tells many stories, has a 'warm heart' and this is where you will be able to make yourself truly at home during your holiday and we are looking forward to welcoming you to Hermanus village!
