Wadrift Nature Reserve is a family getaway located a 15-minute drive from the centre of Plettenberg Bay. It is an ideal centre for exploring the Garden Route with its spectacular, natural beauty. Wadrift lies on an old family farm in the Bitou Valley, just off the N2 between the Keurbooms River and Plettenberg Bay.
We offer you simplicity, tranquility and real country hospitality, combining modern facilities with Old World charm and a sense of history. We want you to enjoy your stay and return to our little corner of paradise, therefore our prices are aimed at making your holiday affordable. We offer a high standard at a budget price. For those who have to stay in contact with the outside world, we have Wi-Fi connection in our reception office.
There are many activities both on and off the reserve. Take a peaceful walk along the Bitou River and enjoy the sights and sounds of a wide variety of birdlife. Walk over the indigenous fynbos covered hills, or through the Garden Route forests on short trails such as the Elephant Trail. Take scenic drives through this splendid region and you will see why many find it difficult to leave. Walk along Plettenberg Bay's wide, open and unspoiled beaches and relax with sundowners on the beach. Take a short trip to Knysna and explore the Knysna Heads, ramble through the markets and many other interesting craft shops. Do a game drive or game viewing trip on horseback. Spend a few hours canoeing on the Keurbooms River and explore the wonders of the Bitou River wetlands; or go sea kayaking, bungee jumping, skydiving or abseiling. Whatever you choose, the list is endless.

Our rooms are located in semi-detached, Cape-style cottages, which are separate from the main building. Each room sleeps a maximum of two guests and comprises a queen-size bed, an en-suite shower room, underfloor heating, a dressing table, hairdryer, a seating area with a TV and a safe. Each room also offers limited self-catering facilities in a basic kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery for two people. All linen, towels, bathrobes and guest toiletries are supplied.
