Vrede en Lust is a working wine farm with foundations going back 315 years. Guests can enjoy the unique location next to the vineyards, with large oak trees providing ample shade.
Whilst on the farm one can walk, run or cycle through the vineyards all the way to the top of the farm or up into the forests above.

Each room / cottage is uniquely and individually furnished and has a safe for guests personal belongings. All guests have access to our solar heated swimming pool, pool bar, gym, steamroom and boma fireplace under the oaktree.
We also have a restaurant and wine tasting centre on the farm

| The Vrede en Lust Manor House is a beautiful building with foundations going back nearly 300 years. The building was damaged by fire at the end of the 19th century and significantly restored by Norman Beroldt in the 1950’s.
The Manor House ground floor boasts solid yellow wood floors and 5m high yellow wood ceilings. On the ground floor there is a large reception room, very large formal lounge, formal dining room, home theatre, 2 bedrooms, one bathroom and the farmhouse style kitchen. Both the lounge and kitchen open up onto a large patio area with stunning views down the Franschhoek valley.
On the first floor there are 3 more double bedrooms (including the master suite), 3 bathrooms and a separate lounge area that opens up onto the upstairs deck. All rooms are air-conditioned.
There are TV’s in the master suite and lounge area.
In the large and well established garden you will find the pool and the pool house. The pool house features a bar, dining area, bathroom, steam bath, gym and large patio. Ideal for entertaining next to the large swimming pool.
The Manor House is ideal for wedding parties staying over a few days as part of a wedding at Vrede en Lust or families/executives/celebrities who want to enjoy some exclusive, private time in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

The cottages offers a living room and two bedrooms with a mini-kitchen. Both bedrooms are en-suite with air-conditioning
and all these units have satellite TV with 15 channels and if required you could bring your own DSTV card and enjoy all of the channels.
Guest also has a safe in their room for the safe keeping of their belongings.
