Great place in Mombasa
I stayed here with colleagues in 2003 and we all had a great time. The food was awesome – loads of fresh fruit and vegetables from the lodge’s garden. The service was friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and airy. The garden and large pool were fantastic - right next to the beach. Suitable for families, romantic couples and business travellers.

Kenya's most popular and dynamic beach resort overlooks the sparkling white sands of Nyali Beach. One of Kenya’s leading destinations, Voyager Beach Resort overlooks the white sands of Nyali Beach, just 7km north of Mombasa. The resort’s convenient location gives Voyager guests easy access to a huge variety of historical, sporting and cultural attractions, including Africa’s largest crocodile farm and the world-famous Bamburi Nature Trail. Daily entertainment programme and family shows, Volleyball, pool games and tug-of-war competitions, Scuba diving with the renowned Buccaneer Diving School, Big game fishing on our state-of-the-art fishing boat, Windsurfing, sailing and snorkelling at our large watersports centre, Glass-bottom boat rides over the magical local reefs, Supervised children's activities at our famous Adventurers' Club, Visits to Bamburi Nature trail, Mamba Crocodile Farm, and other attractions, Historical tours of Mombasa's old town and harbour, 18-hole golf course at the nearby Nyali Golf & Country Club, and Romantic dhow safaris with picnic lunches or sundowners. Voyager Beach Resort offers 232 spacious 'cabins' –68with beautiful sea-views, the remainder overlooking the resort’s lush tropical gardens. Eight cabins are interconnected for families, and the resort also offers three large Junior suites. All cabins have a private balcony, and are equipped with their own telephone, air-conditioning unit, and electronic safe. We have renovated 66 of the total rooms of which 8 are sea facing and 56 garden view. The new rooms have been extended by 10 square and ideal for families and the business travel as the are equipped with two king size beds, split-unit air-conditioning, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and 12 channel satellite TV's. Voyager Beach Resort has four restaurants catering to a wide variety of tastes and appetites. The Mashua Restaurant offers sumptuous buffets with different themes for dinners. The Mashua serves breakfast for all guests between 7am and 10am. On the outdoor terrace is the Captain’s Table, where a member of our senior staff entertains guests each evening. Our à la carte seafood restaurant, the Smugglers’ Cove, is located in a hidden coral cove and specialises in seafood and grilled meat dishes. Located beside the sports pool, the Minestrone Restaurant serves light lunches and table d’hôte dinners with an emphasis on Italian cuisine. For light snacks during the day, the Kaskazi Bar beside the sports pool, offers sandwiches and ice-creams. The Voyager has three other bars – the Sports Bar, the 24-hour Harbour Lounge Bar, and the panoramic Lookout Bar with sweeping views over our private bay.
