Voorhuis is a thatched house perched on a dune, situated in a Western Cape fynbos nature reserve overlooking the Indian Ocean. The house sleeps eight people in three en-suite bedrooms with sea views. Features include a bar, DStv, DVD, Hi-Fi, washing machine, microwave, indoor barbecue and fireplace, and outdoor barbecue area.

Character: Heavy thatched eaves blend in with the natural habitat of the dunes. Inside, experience an eclectic feel, rustic cement floors inlaid with peach pips, crystal chandeliers and antique furniture mixed with new and recycled articles.
Location: The sea plays a very prominent role in this location. During high tide the incoming waves create the feeling in the residents of being on a ship.
Beach: Voorhuis is built on a dune overlooking the Indian Ocean. Rolling waves break in white foam against the rocky shore and dolphins regularly patrol the sea in front.
Great Outdoors: A Blue Flag beach, nine-hole golf course, and 4x4 routes can be found nearby, as well as deep sea fishing and hiking along the beach.
Historical & Cultural: In the Blombos Cave , archaeologists discovered the oldest artefact engraved by 'modern' ancient man, 70,000 years ago. Skulpiesbaai where the remains of stone age fish traps can be seen, is around the corner.
