New owners are fantastic!
A fantastic hideaway! New owners Aubrey and Lynne were fantastic. Room, lounge and bathroom were fully equiped with all luxuries! The fireplace and percale linen made our stay so comfortable and cosy. Haven't slept so late for years, and owners still kept our breakfast for us until 11am! Not quite in Franschhoek, closer to Paarl, but the bar fridge was well stocked and although we never got to have the breakfasts I am sure they are superb. Africa River Lodge is gorgeous and th hosts are wonderful. Our room was comfortable but it was very, very cold when we stayed there and there was no heat in the bathroom. The water was practically frozen in the pipes! We ate dinner there, which was delicious but quite expensive for what we got. Breakfast was average. Would I stay there again?
