Situated in a small complex, guests will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Villa Melissa.

The lovely villa offers guests four bedrooms. A master bedroom and two additional double bedrooms are located upstairs and a single bedroom with a shared bathroom containing a shower only as well as a separate toilet is situated downstairs. A cot, bath towels, linen and mosquito nets are provided and the rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. The open-plan lounge is equipped with a TV with terrestrial and free view TV channels, as well as a dining area with seating for seven people and a high chair. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, a microwave, an oven and grill, a four-plate stove and cooking utensils. Guests can also make use of the washing machine and iron and ironing board.

The patio is equipped with a barbecue facility and a bar and guests can cool down in the communal pool. The complex is gated and off-street parking is available. The villa also has a security system for your peace of mind as well as a safe for your valuables. The house is cleaned twice a week, but an additional cleaning service is available at a small fee should you require it. A telephone is available for local calls and a first aid box and emergency information are provided. Guests also have access Wi-Fi connection at a nominal fee.

The calm waters of the barrier reef provide some excellent diving opportunities. Good diving sites can be found around Flic en Flac and on the northwest coast. Many beaches provide windsurfing and kayaking equipment and usually offer glass-bottom boat trips. For Jules Verne fans, lead-booted, bubble-headed 'undersea walks' can be arranged near the Grand Baie reef, as can a ride on La Nessee, a semi-submersible submarine boat that allows a close up view of the reefs. Serious anglers will love deep sea fishing with healthy populations of blue and black marlin, bonita, barracuda, and yellow-fin tuna. Hiking and walking through the Macchabee Forest, Le Pouce, the Black River Gorges National Park, Black River Peak, Long Mountain and Piton Savanne is very popular.

The villa is situated just a 10-minute walk away from the best bathing beach in Pereybere and five minutes by car from Grand Baie. A supermarket and local produce shop is less than 10 minutes away.

Villa Melissa is discreetly managed by husband and wife, Garcon and Bebe, who will be there to greet you on arrival, show you where everything is and help you get settled in with the minimum of fuss.
