The Villa’s rooms and bathrooms boast spectacular sea viewa, ensuring each guest’s maximum enjoyment of the undulating landscape. With only a short walk to the beach and a ten minutes drive to the hustle and bustle of Margate, Villa Etali is the perfect compromise between a remote seaside vocation and a convenient holiday. This upmarket seaside destination consists of one fully equipped self-catering Villa. The Villa’s modern architecture was designed using an abundance of glass to absorb the full beauty of the surrounding scenery. Villa Etali’s facilities include a self-catering basis (chef and concierge services optional), a fully equipped modern kitchen with concealed scullery (washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher). A dining room, living room and TV room (DStv) with tile flooring. Four large sea facing bedrooms with full and sea facing en suite bathrooms with access to the deck. A spacious tiled patio under the roof with braai/barbecue facilities. A swimming pool with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, two garages, a secure perimeter and remote access control. Breakfast, daily cleaning, laundry and basic housekeeping services available. Please note that there is limited cell phone coverage but two landlines are available (ASDL). A safe swimming beach is in walking distance and an endless list of activities in the surrounding areas.
Trafalgar is a beautiful village that promises quiet, relaxed days and spacious, sandy beaches. It offers its visitors lush verges, subtropical vegetation and a pristine two kilometres beachfront. Trafalgar is surrounded by nature and marine reserves that boast long stretches of untouched beauty. The shoreline, which reaches 500 metres offshore, has been declared a marine reserve. The area contains marine fossil beds that are estimated to be around 90 million years old. The rocky reef formation is an unforgettable snorkelling site and a fascinating Indian Ocean landmark. The area also incorporates the 190 hectare Mpenjati Nature Reserve and together with the Marine Reserve, preserves the largest diversity of habitats in KwaZulu-Natal. These include the sandy seabed, seaweed covered rock reefs, inter-tidal rocks, sandy beach, coastal fore-dunes, dune forest, estuary, salt marsh and the freshwater wetland with its ‘palmiet’ sedge and ilala palm grassland. The area is home to many natural inhabitants and indigenous flora. Birdlife and small game sightings are a popular attraction for nature lovers who enjoy the tranquillity of area.
Enjoy the many walking, mountain biking and horse trails. Pass beautiful rivers and waterfalls and rest at one of the allocated picnic or braai spots. Water sports include beachcombing or canoeing, surfing, water skiing, sea cruises and scuba diving or snorkelling. Eco cruises are available; view the migratory whales from the shore, or simply watch the resident dolphins play daily in the surf. Various angling opportunities and venues are available including offshore, deep sea fishing and fly fishing on the estuary which produce a variety of species. The Pure Venom Reptile Park and the Riverbend Crocodile Farm are both interesting outings for the whole family. Enjoy golf at San Lammer, Wild Coast Sun or Southbroom and various other clubs. The local pubs and restaurants, shopping malls, arts and craft stores, movies and fitness centres are some of the activities available in the area. Take a day trip with the Banana Express Steam Train. Chug along gauges and track across bridges along the Hibiscus Coast. The Wild Coast Sun Casino is a popular venue for golf and gambling and also offers horse riding, restaurants, entertainment and conferencing facilities
