Villa 33

Villa 33 offers stylish accommodation situated in Blantyre which is the commercial centre of Malawi. Travellers come in from all over the region to stock up on food, construction materials and electronics. The building is one of the oldest in Blantyre and it is very beautiful, as are the spacious grounds.

There are eight recently renovated Bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms; the rooms all have TVs with DStv, fans, electronic safes and queen-size beds. All rooms can connect to the Internet through a wireless hotspot. The premise has secure parking and the accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis. There's plenty of outside seating and beautiful surrounds to be enjoyed.

There are many activities to be enjoyed within the area and a few of the top must see places are Mandala House - home of the La Caverna Art Gallery and café. The café serves lunches, various coffees, ice-cream and cake. The gallery has some great carvings and pictures and there's a museum section upstairs. St Michael - All Angels Church - was once described as the first permanent church between the Zambezi and the Nile. This church was designed by a Scottish missionary who was helped by local workers.
