What a find! Such a beautiful place and owners Pieter and Verencia are absolutely wonderful. Cant wait to make the trip up the N7 again just to stay with this hospitable and generous couple.

The wind was howling and it had just rained so the indoor fireplace was most welcome. We had a quite and peaceful evening to awake to sunshine and an awesome environment. The location is magic and the candles that night added to the feel of being out and beyond. Thanks for the hospitality

We stayed there for two nights during late August. Very friendly owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with this "old time" flavour (no electricity, no central heating). It was really cold outside the night we arrived but we never felt cold thanks to the fireplace and the cosy bed.Not far from the N7 (7km), the gravel road is very decent. A fantastic place to stay in if you want to explore Namaqualand.

We had an exceptional experience staying at Verbe Farm during our recent honeymoon in South Africa. The delightful owners, Pieter and Verenica rushed out to meet us on our arrival. Verenica's warmth was so enveloping I felt she may be a long lost relative. The stone cottage we stayed in had been lovingly appointed with antiques. There is no electricity but that only added to the charm. Candles, oil lamps and an inside fireplace/braai kept plenty of light and warmth through the night. Since it is also a working farm, we went to sleep to the sounds of the nearby sheep and woke to chickens... see more

Grave of a British Soldier

(11.6 km from Kamieskroon)

The grave of Charles James Darter, a sharpshooter born in Cape Town and part of the British Army. Darter was killed in an ambush in 1902. His grave is located just North of Kamieskroon on the N7, and is popularly referred to as the smallest piece of...

Skilpad

(45.4 km from Kamieskroon)

Padlopers, birds, butterflies and blomme Just 17km northwest of Kamieskroon is the Skilpad section of Namaqua National Park. Twitchers and butterfly afficionados love it and it's worth spending a few days here - even in ‘bad years’ the sandy plains...

Goegap Nature Reserve

Lying about 70 km north of Kamieskroon and 15 km southeast of Springbok, Goegap Nature Reserve is a fantastic place to kick off your flower trip. Bearing in mind that the best route to travel for a flower trip is north to south so that you see the...

Spitfire Rock

(73.3 km from Kamieskroon)

Spitfire Rock is an excellent location to take interesting photographs. Spectacular “spits” and sprays can be seen as the sea blasts against this rock.
