Van Den Bergs Guesthouse B&B

We stayed here for two nights in the "honeymoon suite" (ours was long ago!). It was tastefully decorated, with a huge en-suite bathroom that had a bath as well as a separate shower. A fridge in the room with water and soft drinks for our use and fresh fruit. Our hosts Era and Raoul were welcoming and invited us to share a sundowner with them both evenings. Prior to our arrival I had enquired if they recommended a local restaurant, which they did and booked a table for us. The breakfast was fantastic everything you could want, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals,cheeses, cooked meat, croissants etc and full English. They are knowledgeable about the local area and fantastic hosts.

Warm welcome, excellent room, bathroom en suite. Wonderful views of mountains, sea and surf. large spacious accommodation; privacy, hospitality. Knowledge of surrounding area and recommendations for excellent dinners locally - Tides restaurant. Lovely Breakfasts with choices. First class stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to friends and colleagues. I do have one comment however - the tiny sink that only has cold water (no hot) is not suitable for a self-catering unit. While there were ample kitchen utensils etc, it was almost impossible to wash them in this mini prep-bowl!

The guest house was amazing. The only thing I can recommend is adding a breakfast option.

Had a most pleasant stay in the Honeymoon suite for 3 days. Era and Raoul are well suited as guest house hosts as they are extremely easy to chat to, with so many varied interests as well as loads of local knowledge. The accommodation was 5* (we have just come from a Chateaux Relais hotel and this was easily comparable). A lovely area to visit with much to offer.
