The Vaalnest boutique Hotel is located on the banks of the Vaal Dam in the quaint village of Vaal Marina. A warm and personal calm will greet you as you walk into this stylish home-from-home. The thatched central complex has a tranquil, well-appointed dining area, intimate lounge with a feature fireplace and a viewing deck that overlooks the spectacular Vaal Dam. The hotel also has an infinite pool, hand carved out of the rocks with martini seats and a dramatic curtain drop water feature. It is renowned for its bird life 240 identified species, attracted to the specially designed garden for your viewing pleasure.

Whether you here for business or to enjoy a variety of activities that the Vaal Dam offers, the professional staff will ensure that your stay is memorable. The boardroom: Hosting up to 17 delegates, the boardroom overlooks the Vaal Dam and is perfectly suited for small Corporate or Government meetings.
The Pelican Hall with a seating capacity of up to 120 people, the Pelican Hall is our function venue, and has been a host to Birthday Parties, Workshops, Corporate conferencing, government conference, workshops and banquets.

The Cormorant Hall: Seating up to 250 people, this function hall will be utilized for all big conference requests, wedding receptions, and big venue functions. With this venue still under construction and in completion soon, The Pelican hall is available for your perusal.

Excellent stay at Vaalnest. Service was excellent. Christmas lunch and all the food was excellent and well prepared. Friendly staff. Will visit Vaalnest again soon!

A short distance from Joburg but you feel like you are thousands of kilomteres away. The staff were so helpful, the food was delicious and everyone was pleasant. It is a tranquil setting; good place to have a relaxing getaway.

Excellent hospitality, wonderful rooms and facilities. I would recommend that breakfast start earlier (it was not really available until 8:30 on Sunday). It should have faster Internet facilities if the goal is to host business meetings.
