Awesome stay
We had an awesome stay at Umzolozolo Lodge. The staff were very attentive, game viewing superb and food out of this world. We highly recommend a stay this lodge!

Facilities and staff were excellent
We stayed for two nights at the lodge; we were not lucky with the weather but nevertheless had a very enjoyable stay. The facilities and staff were excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and the whole feel was of individual attention.
The game drives are an essential part of the stay and the ranger taking us out was really good, he was very knowledgeable and because we had wet conditions the drives were great fun. I would certainly recommend Umzolozolo Lodge.

Description
The Umzolozolo Lodge is situated in the heart of the Kwa Zulu Natal midlands. 3.5 hours from Johannesburg, 2.5 from Durban and 40 minutes from the Drakensburg. This malaria free area provides an unrivalled safari experience with the opportunity to view Africa's Big Five as well as cheetah and the critically endangered African wild dog. Because Umzolozolo is a small privately owned lodge, you'll be able to enjoy the splendour of the reserve in near solitude. Experienced trackers and game rangers will accompany you on game drives in open land rovers, tracking the Big Five and sharing their vast knowledge of the surrounding wildlife with you. At Umzolozolo, the emphasis is on personal service. Our luxury lodge caters for small groups to ensure that your safari experience is beyond expectation. Our superb facilities combine the thrill of the African bush with all of the comforts of a five star hotel.

Tucked away for complete privacy, the honeymoon suite features a Jacuzzi on the deck which overlooks the valley. In total seclusion, guests can sip champagne as dusk falls over the landscape, lulled by birdsong and the majestic roar of the lions as they emerge to hunt. We make every effort to create a magical atmosphere for our honeymoon couples and will gladly arrange for a private dinner to be served on your own deck.
