Enclosed by the Viervoet Mountain, with Modderpoort Kop guarding the entrance and the Maluti Mountains as backdrop, you will find a haven of tranquility, a place where one can discover the pleasures of solitude and silence.

We offer good old boere hospitality and the beauty of nature to soothe the soul. At Twin Oaks one can kick off the shoes, put on the clothes you only dare to wear in the privacy of your own home, and just relax without any pressure. Accommodation is offered in the form of four uncluttered units, each with their own private entrance, in the out-of-the-ordinary sandstone farmhouse. All of the units are equipped for self-catering, but meals are also served on prior arrangement. The house can sleep up to 20 people.

If in need of a solitary retreat, the caravan hidden in the bush at the foot of the mountain will provide you with absolute privacy. Alternatively go camp high up in the cliff where nature is your only companion.

Location: As Twin Oaks Guest Farm are only a 20-minute drive from the border post at Maseru, it is an ideal location for business people who need to work in Maseru on a short-term basis or people who want to explore Lesotho.

Family: All our units are big enough to accommodate small families.

Historical & Cultural: The farm has a registered Free State heritage rock art site with unique drawings of a the trans or medicine dance. The well known Cave Church and the grave of Anna Mantsopa can be seen at the St Augustine Priory at Modderpoort.

Pets Permitted: Pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Outstanding Views: The Eastern Free State is known for the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the colourful autumns. Twin Oaks Guest Farm has a 4x4 route up Viervoet Mountain from where one has breathtaking views and can take unforgettable photos.

Relaxation: The main activity offered by the Guest Farm is relaxation. People need to slow down, listen to the sounds of nature and look up at the stars at night. At Twin Oaks Guest Farm one can discover the pleasures of solitude and silence.
