We had a very good, and all too short stay. We were made very welcome both in the accommodation and in the restaurant. An excellent fish-pie was provided for a non meat-eater! Wonderful breakfast, too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at "Die Tuishuise". The cottage we stayed in, Anna, has been beautifully restored and offered us the unique opportunity to step back in time for a night. It was well equipped which allowed us to prepare simple meals for our two young children. A definite must for anyone passing through ...

Description
Die Tuishuise consists of 25restored Karoo cottages in Market Street, Cradock.
Each cottage is decorated antiques and period prints to capture Settler living at the turn of the century.
Recipient of the Simon van der Stel gold medal for restoration and the AA Heritage accommodation award in 1999, it is like stepping back in time.
Typical Karoo dinners are served at the Victoria manor, specialities include Karoo lamb, boboties, chicken pies etc.
