It was nice to see the lodge, but unfortunately we didn't see the cheetah - we thought that she was always there but it turned out that she's at the lodge every 4-5 days. We liked the morning walk with the lion Impy.
I think the lodge and the drives are good for family with children, but I did not get a 'real game-drive' feeling (I've been to many other private camps and Tsukudu is different).
We were told that there are 40 lions, but 38 in enclosures and only 2 in the 'wild'. ... more

Description
The Sussens family have been devoted to developing their 5 000 hectare property as a true wildlife haven since 1980. It is situated near Hoedspruit, an hour from Kruger National Park. Tshukudu - the Sotho word for Rhino - is well known for raising orphaned animals and re-introducing them to their natural environment. Enjoy an open Land Rover safari while in search of the Big Five, or an early morning walk through the bush with orphaned animals. Relax at the pool side and enjoy excellent meals under the stars in our Boma. We pride ourselves on assuring our guests personal attention. It is a must for nature lovers. Tshukudu also has a rustic self catering bush camp and tented camp. The tariff includes three excellent meals, two game drives and a morning walk daily.
