Far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, nestled in tranquil natural surroundings alongside a river lies the Tropicana River Lodge.A one hour drive from Johannesburg, on the banks of the Vaal river, beautiful willow trees, birds and ducks welcome you to luxury chalets in landscaped surroundings. This lodge has been designed as a multi-purpose retreat. It has all the features and creature comforts for a personal holiday get-away or a business break-away. It is also the most pleasant place for foreigners to while the time as their business documentation - such as visas and passports are being processed back in the cities.We do cater for all functions i.e weddings,personal as well as business conferences.We have also received an award From The World Luxury Hotel Awards A finalist in the Luxury family hotel category. We received the Sanlam Cobalt Award for being the Top hotel in Southern Gauteng.

Not four star at all!!

It is unfortunate, but true. First time in my travels that a four star-graded place actually feels and presents itself as 3-star. Really think the star-allocation should be re-evalued. In our unit some of the lights were not working, 1 ply toiletpaper with holes in it accompanied you in the bathroom (the cheap one's you buy in bulk). Was very nice, absolutely clean, and great privacy. Venue is well looked after and you feel very near to nature with all the beautiful flowers and plants and neat lawn surrounding you. Great place to stay.
