Bahati Tree CabinX 1

Bahati Tree Lodge is built two-and-half metres off the ground in the tops of the trees, one of which actually grows through the house. The view from the open plan lounge/dinette and kitchen across the Bell Park Dam Valley is magnificent and the peace and quiet which surrounds this spot is amazing. The wooden cabin is luxuriously fitted out with a double bedroom en-suite Jacuzzi, shower, basin and toilet. A second bedroom under the cabin has two single beds with an en-suite bathroom and walk-in shower. The bedroom leads onto its own deck from where one has your own private view. A deck which goes out from the lounge area has a gas braai and there is an outside braai area with both charcoal braai and potjiekos facilities round a fire pit for those beautiful, warm evenings under the stars. Completely equipped for self-catering, this cabin gives perfect privacy for anyone who wants to get away from the madding crowds and take in the wonderful views and country feel of the Central Drakensberg. Bahati now also sports a cosy fireplace. The cabin does not have TV but a music centre is supplied for guests to bring along their favourite music. A beautiful rock pool on the premises completes this idyllic spot. Children under 10 years are not permitted at this Lodge. The cabin is within easy reach of several restaurants, hotels, supermarkets etc. and some beautiful hiking trails and walks in our magnificent mountains with numerous other activities such as water sports, horse riding - either in the mountains or in the game park, battlefield routes, golf, river rafting, karting, a canopy tour, falconry, bird watching, local arts and crafts etc. There is certainly no shortage of things to do.

Bergvlei Cottage is our cosy and comfortable self-catering garden Cottage with a stunning view overlooking Bell Park Dam to the impressive Cathkin range of the Drakensberg Mountains from the deck in the garden. It has a large main bedroom (double bed) with bath, toilet and basin en-suite. The mezzanine floor, with four single beds, has an enclosed balcony which looks out over the magnificent mountain range and is serviced by a second bathroom downstairs consisting of a shower, toilet and basin. A lounge/dining room area (with cosy fireplace) leads onto a fully equipped kitchenette which has a stove, fridge / deep freeze and microwave and a nook in the garden has a built braai as well as a deck in the garden for outdoor cooking and eating. This cottage does not have TV but has a music centre available. Heaters and electric blankets are available. The cottage is reasonably close to the main house so security is excellent but has been tastefully screened for perfect privacy in its own garden area.

Uphall self-catering cottage is basic and very private set in a huge garden with a wonderful view of the Cathkin and Champagne Castle peaks of the Drakensberg. The main cottage has one double bedroom en-suite with bath, toilet and basin and a fully-equipped kitchenette which leads off from the lounge/dining room. The second, smaller cottage which is free-standing and approx. 10 meters from the main cottage has a double bed and two children's beds with a small bathroom again with bath, toilet and basin. The fireplace in the main cottage completes the image making this a true country cottage with prices at the lower end of the scale. No TV is available as we feel this detracts from the perfect peace which exists here.
