  • Track and Trail River Camp is a small safari camp bordering the South Luangwa National Park. Its facilities are comfortable and we offer beautifully designed Chalets with en-suite bathrooms, an international kitchen, as well as an elevated swimming pool with a spectacular view to the majestic Luangwa River and its inhabitants.
  • Wild animals roam free both in and around the camp. There are no fences and game move freely from one place to the other. Our daily visitors at camp are elephants, hippos, various antelope, hyena’s and sometimes even leopard and lion during the evening or night.

Track and Trail River Camp is a privately owned lodge offering 8.5 hectors of unforgettable sunrises and panoramic views of the Luangwa River, in an area of unspoiled Wilderness.

Situated a mere five minute drive from the main entrance of the South Luangwa National Park, the lodge offers a unique natural experience. Facilities and accommodation are scattered along the river frontage, and surrounded by bushes, are the more secluded luxury tented accommodation built on elevated wooden platforms.

Track and Trail River Camp’s down-to-earth feel is reflected in its relaxing atmosphere and its naturally designed architecture. Local traditions of hospitality are combined with modern comforts such as an elevated swimming pool with unrevealed river views, a gym, a restaurant combining international and African-style dishes, as well as our Lime Tree Bar.

We were so lucky to go out of season! The game drives were nearly all private, as was the camp, so the exclusive attention was superb! The camp is lovely, the staff excellent, and our guide Saidie extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We saw masses of game, both large and small and the bird life was amazing. The food was fine, drinks a little expensive but not overly so. Cannot comment about high season but would definately recoomend off-season for privacy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Track and Trailer Riverside camp very very much. We can really recommend this to everybody. Accommodation : very good Environment and View : Great Food : very good Staff : very friendly and adequate.
