Tofo Beach Accommodation is located in Tofo, a lovely beach town in the Inhambane Province of Mozambique. Tofo Beach Accommodation offers travellers a choice of three self-catering cottages, with a rustic and home-like atmosphere.

The cottages are equipped for self-catering and feature electricity, warm water, fridges and separate freezers, cooking facilities, cutlery and crockery, bedding, and mosquito nets. Each cottage also boasts a verandah with spectacular views of the beach and ocean - guests may even spot dolphins and whales. The cottages are equipped with safes for valuables and the bathrooms have showers only, and guests also have access to an outside barbecue area.

All the cottages are serviced daily and the house cleaner can also arrange someone to do your laundry at a small fee. Although 220 volt electricity and standard three-point plugs are provided, during peak season the electricity supply cannot match Tofo’s demand and periodic power cuts are experienced. In addition, a guard patrols the area during the night to ensure guests' safety.

Tofo is a lovely open beach with lovely reefs for fishing and snorkelling, spazas, beach bars and dive schools. The headland is a favourite spot for fishermen when high tide covers the shelf, allowing casting for king fish. Tofinho is also the site of the Frelimo Monument to Fallen Heroes and a spectacular blowhole near the tip of the point can give a raw display of power when there is a large swell running.

Located right at Tofinho’s main beach, it's just a short walk to the warm waters of the Mozambique Channel. The cottage comprises three bedrooms and is ideal for a large family, sleeping up to seven guests. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the second bedroom with two single beds and the loft with single beds. The kitchen is equipped with the basic facilities for self-catering including a hotplate, a fridge and a separate freezer, and cutlery and crockery for seven people. The unit also features a pantry.

We were delighted with Casa Derika and its fabulous position on the fantastic beach. It's a tropical dream spot. Adequate, simple furnishings, well-equipped holiday kitchen, very small bathroom. Pedro and the night guard are both very obliging and helpful. Could have had better bath and beach towels and a few beach chairs would have been great. We arrived in Tofo late at night and while we did manage to find Casa Derika in the dark (thanks to the satellite map provided), I think gues ... more
