Three Baobabs

Description

Savuti is an area of pans within the Chobe National Park and is renowned for its very big elephant bulls, prides of lions and the channel which connects the Linyanti River with the Savuti marsh.

Enjoy an evening under the stars while sitting around the fire. Enjoy the sounds of the African bush while sleeping under a canvas roof. Three Baobabs has four guest tents and a spacious tented dining and lounge area.

The tents are luxurious and octagonal in shape, almost seven meters wide, with shade netting and double roofs to assist with cooling. They are built on teak decks with bathrooms attached. The bathrooms have flushing toilets, shower baths and basins. The baths are positioned to afford privacy but still allow you to see out over the bush.

Whilst this is a tented bush camp, it has all the amenities you would expect at any other lodge, with flushing toilets, hot water and electric lights, but sleeping under canvas.

All cooking is done on an open fire in front of the dining area. The camp is run on solar power, including the borehole pump, thereby avoiding noisy generators. Whilst the game in the area is not plentiful, we have seen elephant, buffalo, warthogs, kudu, zebra and impala, and hear hyena and lion at night. Positioned outside the unfenced National Park, we can do walks with an armed guide and night drives.
