Thornycroft is situated on a country estate and is designed for outdoor living. The luxury guest suites, with separate living area, are built around a large courtyard garden frequented by birds, creating a tranquil and secure setting in which to completely relax or get down to uninterrupted work. Be it business or pleasure, Thornycroft will make sure your stay is a memorable one. We are owner managed and treat each guest as an individual.

Facilities include health and beauty spa, Jacuzzi and sauna,swimming pool,thatched pool side bar, badminton court, mini cinema, nature walks and fishing, boat trips on Nahoon Dam, quad biking nearby, paintball nearby, 35 seater auditorium for conferences, breakaway lounges, 65 seater function venue and romantic venue for getaway weddings.

Thornycroft Lodge features a camp for budget accommodation and large groups such as schools, sport clubs and churches. The camp is situated right next to two lovely dams, and offers accommodation in three buildings. Each building has two large rooms accommodating 20 people each. There are ample showers, basins and toilets, a dining room and a kitchen unit. Accommodation starts from R55 per person (bring own bedding).

We couldn't have asked for a better holiday destination, Thornycroft was just what we needed. The owner, Elsa, was a darling and I felt more like I was at my mom's place where you can be who you are. Duane, the in-house cook, practically changed the menu to accommodate us; we actually had our own butler and cook. We were four gals who spent two nights at Thornicroft over the New Years Eve period. We had a great time! Friendly, helpful and warm staff and management. Excellent food (like your mama's home cooking) and friendly and relaxed patrons. Seeing the stars at night was the best, which you don't get to see in the city. Will be back!

We enjoyed our stay and it felt like we were somewhere in another country. It felt like one of those cabin houses in the movies. The staff were so friendly, the bedrooms very warm and we really liked the environment too. It was peaceful and quite and I think when I get married someday I will definitely book Thornycroft for my honeymoon. Thanx again for a wonderful stay
