Although we were only passing through, we found the lodge beautiful, friendly and reasonably priced. Keep up the good work!

Wow. What a staff; they are so friendly and the owner was there too and what a lady. The place is quite and if you wanna relax thats a place to be. Thanks to all.

We couldn't have asked for a better holiday destination, Thornycroft was just what we needed. The owner, Elsa, was a darling and I felt more like I was at my mom's place where you can be who you are. Duane, the in-house cook, practically changed the menu to accommodate us; we actually had our own butler and cook. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we lounged as if we were at our own house. The area, the bliss, and stargazing at night was the highlight. We were sad to leave but then needed to drive back to Cape Town and others to Jo'burg. We really had a lovely stay and given the chance, will go back soon.

We were four gals who spent two nights at Thornicroft over the New Years Eve period. We had a great time! Friendly, helpful and warm staff and management. Excellent food (like your mama's home cooking) and friendly and relaxed patrons. Seeing the stars at night was the best, which you don't get to see in the city. Will be back!
