One of the few places on earth that feels like it's bigger than humanity. A nature lover's paradise. Healthy food. The right level of attention by staff. We will be back.
As a family and as individuals we would like to thank all those who made our stay at Thonga without doubt the most amazing trip ever. The caring and "nothing too much trouble" attitude was wonderful and the activities, scuba diving and of course the turtles. The food and especially with a little 21month old and all attention to our every need without being intrusive made this definitely one of our most memorable trips. Thanks to all of you.
Wonderfull stay! Friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely food. Thank you.
Thonga Beach Lodge is beautiful. We had the most wonderful stay here and came home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. The staff were so friendly and the beaches really remote with beautiful dunes and forests to explore. We were blessed to see the turtles and hatchlings which made the trip even more special. Thanks to the Thonga team. We'll be back for sure!
If you want to get away from it all, including cell phones and internet, and be in one of the most isolated 5 Star resorts in SA, then Thonga is the place to go. Understated rooms with views of the Indian Ocean, scuba dives launching from the best beach in the country and well-balanced three-course meals with a pretty decent wine list. The staff are ever happy to please. Let me not forget the experience of seeing a loggerhead turtle climb out of the sea, crawl up the beach, dig a hole and lay her eggs in full view of the assembled onlookers. Absolutely amazing. We will be back.
