Thokoza Bed and Breakfast

Thokoza Bed and Breakfast is located in Mbabane, the capital city of the Kingdom of Swaziland which is set in spectacular mountain scenery and is a modern city with good shopping and banking facilities. The closest border crossing to and from South Africa is Ngwenya-Oshoek, which is about 20 km from Mbabane and is on the N17 from Ermelo.

Thokoza means 'a place of joy' in Zulu, which echoes the policy of the management at Thokoza Bed and Breakfast to provide attentive service to all who visit the centre and may discover it to be a place of joy.

We offer accommodation in twin rooms and self-catering rooms. Some of the rooms feature en-suite bathrooms whilst other rooms share bathrooms. All rooms feature a TV set and Internet is available. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in the dining room and morning and afternoon drinks and snacks are available as required.

There is a communal TV lounge for guests to relax and a chapel for services and quiet reflection or meditation. Whilst Thokoza is a Christian centre, we welcome people of all faiths. Secure parking is provided.

We specialize in conference facilities. Our conference centre, founded in 1977 by the Diocese of Swaziland, has been expanded and upgraded over the years to provide an affordable centre for groups of various sizes to meet, ponder and discuss the issues they face. The conference rooms can seat up to 120 delegates and there is also a board room for 14 to 16 delegates. They are both equipped with air-conditioning, multi-media projectors and sound systems. The board room opens onto a private veranda and terrace which may be used for private dining.

Thokoza Bed and Breakfast welcomes and provides a central base for travellers and a safe and friendly environment from which to explore beauty and variety of the Kingdom of Swaziland.
