Description

Victoria Bay is one of the hidden gems of the garden route. A small (only 13 Houses) charming seaside bay with a safe swimming beach and pristine coastline. Only 12 km from both George or Wilderness, with access from the N2 highway a mere 3 km away.

The Waves is a family Bed and Breakfast and consists of two sea-front suites. The suites have en-suite bathrooms and lounges with TV, courtesy fridge and tea and coffee facilities available.

The suites have a private entrance and an exclusive patio area. Breakfast is served on our patio (weather permitting) while watch a 180 degree view of the sea – and the whales playing in the bay in whale-season. Dolphins are the common sight along the coast.

A wooden and concrete jetty stretches out from the front of the waves adding charm to a perfect setting. Spoil yourself and relax to the music of the ocean. Safe parking, right next door we have an up-market cottage. Ideal for small families.

Fresh linen, towels ans sun umbrellas are provided.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sehr nette und angenehme Vermieter Ian und Lisa haben ein sehr leckeres Frühstück zubereitet. Das Appartment ist großzügig und die Wellen in der Bucht waren unbeschreiblich! Sehr zu empfehlen! We thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners, Ian and Lisa, are very pleasant and serve a delicious breakfast. The apartment is spacious, and the waves in the bay were indescribable! Highly recommended!

This is a great place to spend a few days. The Waves is a part of a rather exclusive community in Victoria Bay. Liza and Iain made us feel very welcome and we immediately felt at home, so much so we were drinking wine together within minutes! We were able to sit in the garden in the sun watching the surfers, reading books or just having a cup of tea. It felt really spacial.

Thank you Iain and Lise for looking after us so well. We stayed at the waves cosy little wooden chalet which is overlooking the peer. From the bed you can watch people fish on the peer, surf or just watch TV. The deck is great to have sundowners. Bathroom and kitchen are perfectly equipped. Forgot my cotton wool but saw to my delight that they had some provided. The kitchen had salt, pepper, coffee, milk, tea, even cookies. Breakfast on the veranda was devine. What a magnificent place to stay. The hosts Iain and Lisa are fantastic and went out of their way to make us feel at home. There can be very few places in the world with such a magnificent view. The sea breaks only 12 metres from your King Size double bed! That's not an exaggeration. We plan to visit again. Bobby and Avryl Cheetham. Port Elizabeth

My wife and I spent three days at Palm 1 during August 2009. The accommodation was clean and well appointed and we would stay there again if passing through Victoria Bay.
