The grand old Royal Hotel is located in Riebeek Kasteel, the village which, together with Hermon and Riebeek West, forms the picturesque and tranquil Riebeek Valley and part of the Wineland route. The Royal Hotel is the oldest and Colonial hotel of the Western Cape and offers the most beautiful and luxurious accommodation in Riebeek Kasteel, and the Swartland for that matter.
The hotel offers accommodation in true Old World luxury at affordable prices and all the rooms have been recently upgraded to the highest 5 Star standards. The 150-year-old Colonial bar is located next to the restaurant, while the pool bar caters for the pool, garden and outside lounge. Our verandah was named the longest verandah south of the Limpopo by the Government when we were listed as one of the 50 Most Fabulous Places to visit in South Africa.
The location of Riebeek Kasteel is very central, with Paarl, Stellenbosch, Cape Town, Franschhoek, Tulbagh, Ceres and safari possibilities all less than an hour away. Many golf courses, including the biggest golf course in South Africa, is just half an hour’s drive away.
The hotel is the perfect wedding venue, and with our personal service and possibilities, we are also very popular for conferences for up to 120 delegates.
