Description
Tucked away amongst trees virtually in the water, River Siding, offers tranquillity, wooden fires, nature walks and much more for families and travellers. As the farm is situated between a river and a mountain, it is ideal for hiking, mountain biking, birdwatching and fishing. Bass and trout can be caught in the river, and bass and carp in the dam.
Please note that during dry years the level of the river drops very low and free flowing water can't be guaranteed during midsummer, the dam however remains constant.
The River Siding offers two units that are situated 0.5 km from each other, which guarantees privacy. Both are situated on the edge of the river making them unique in the area. Both have kitchenettes, covered patios with dining tables, fireplaces inside and lapas outside with wood provided. Linen, towels, tea, coffee, milk, dishwashing liquid and braai utensils are provided. Both have electricity and pets are welcome, at guests own risk.
Rock paintings can be seen in the mountain and a little hiking trail has been set up to direct guests to this feature. The farm is a working fruit and wine farm and used as base from which to explore the nearby activities such as 4x4 trails, an excellent golf course, mountain bike trails and skydiving. Snow can be seen in winter.
