Facilities

The Ponds Self-catering Cottages are situated in the Drakensberg, with views of Champagne Castle, Cathkin Peak and Sterkhorn. These two quaint self-catering farm-style cottages are set amongst 150 year old trees with breathtaking views of the magnificent central Drakensberg.

Both the Guinea Fowl Cottage and Ferndale Cottage feature two en-suite bedrooms and an open-plan country kitchen leading onto a lounge and dining room area. There are plenty of activities to do in the surrounding area, including horse riding, golf, mountain climbing, hiking, zip lining, quad biking, paintball, shopping, game drives, helicopter trips, and a spa.

The cottages are serviced daily. Pets are permitted by prior arrangement.

We had a lovely time at The Ponds. Very friendly reception on arrival and very friendly dogs! Guinea Fowl Cottage is a real cottage with an Old World feeling - beautiful! The mountain view however is a bit obstructed by a very tall hedge.
