Description

The Planes Guest House was established in 1993, making it one of the first bed and breakfasts in Kokstad. It was used as a boarding house in the 1940s and then as a family home. Your hosts, Wendy and Leon Sander, bought the guest house in 1998 and for the last 10 years they have both been hard at work renovating and restoring the home.

The guest house is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood just a few blocks from the centre of town. The house is surrounded by beautiful shady gardens and is named after the two enormous Plane trees. The tree in the courtyard, estimated to be over 100 years old, offers guests shade and a peaceful place to sit and relax throughout the year.

We pride ourselves in offering all guests country hospitality and delicious home-cooked meals can be provided. Accommodation comprises nine en-suite rooms, two of which have kitchenettes for light self-catering.
