The Old House

Description

The Old House is a small family-owned and run guest house situated in Kasane, overlooking the Chobe River. The guest house is conveniently located within walking distance to shops and is just a 10-minute boat ride to the entrance of the Chobe National Park. We offer accommodation, boat cruises, game drives and canoe trips, and there is a small shop on the premises selling a variety of gifts including handbags, pashminas, jewellery, shoes, clothing and more. There is also a small plunge pool overlooking the Chobe River to cool off or enjoy an evening cocktail.

Accommodation comprises a total of nine rooms, including three twin rooms, three double rooms, two family rooms and a backpacker’s dorm. All our rooms feature air-conditioning, en-suite facilities and mosquito nets, and wireless Internet is available to all lodge guests.

Guests can enjoy a three-hour boat cruise and game drive into the Chobe National Park, known for its huge elephant herds and abundance of both bird life and game. The chance of an encounter with lion, leopard or cheetah is also possible. Enjoy a few hours on the Chobe River trawling or spinning for Tiger fish as well as many other species of bream, as well as an afternoon cruise sipping a gin and tonic while the sun sets. For those adrenaline junkies, activities include white water rafting, bungee jumping and gorge swinging.
