Your hosts, Jaco and Anneke de Beer, warmly welcome visitors and tourists to their appealing and attractive home located in Gonubie, the increasingly popular holiday resort. It is only 15 minutes from the East London City Centre and the Strandloper and Wild Coast Meander trails end here.

We offer affordable 3 Star luxury B&B and self-catering accommodation, close to the sea and amenities. We are situated in a delightful treed garden, only four minutes' drive from our Blue Flag main beach and popular boardwalk.

All our rooms have private entrances and are tastefully decorated and equipped with ceiling fans and heaters, DStv and M-Net, bedside radios, bar fridges, hairdryers and tea and coffee trays. There are desks in our luxury units for the convenience of our corporate guests. Secure off-street parking is provided behind automated gates.

Hearty English breakfasts are served in the dining room. There is an under-cover barbecue/braai facility in the lapa next to the swimming pool and another on the deck of the self-catering unit. Delicious home-cooked dinners may be served by prior arrangement.

Day trips to various places of interest in the area can be arranged, including game park drives, cultural visits and hiking trails. The 9-hole golf course is but a stone’s throw away.

For those who are normally under the strains and pressures of city life, Gonubie is the ideal spot to relax and unwind and to be refreshed and restored as they enjoy its tranquil atmosphere and unspoiled, natural beauty, which is rivaled only by the warm friendliness of our people. There is a never-ending array of options for visitors and tourists; Sun, sea, beaches, rivers and dams, history, anti-apartheid heroes, culture and arts, adventure, sports, entertainment, cuisine and wildlife. You name it, we have it.

We stayed in the Kestel Cottage and enjoyed our stay very much. This was our first time in East London and were pleasantly surprised. Gonubie Beach is one of the cleanest beaches we have ever enjoyed. This is definitely a place we will visit again.

I stayed in a few self-catering places brfore this one and therefore had a cooler bag with food in it. To my surprise we had a fridge in the room to store the food in! I can gladly recommend The Nest for the warm welcome alone, but the awsome breakfast and comfortable beds only count as a plus in my book.
