The Guesthouse

The Guesthouse is a lovely place to relax and unwind from the busy city life. Located in Standerton where the Vaal River, one of South Africa's largest rivers, flows through and provides much in the way of water-based activities.

We offer five en-suite rooms and one family flat with two rooms. There is a large swimming pool and a bar with DStv to keep guests entertained. Many of the guest farms close by provide horse riding, guided forest walks and many other enjoyable destinations that bring you close to nature.

The Grootdraai Dam, the tenth largest dam in South Africa, is 10 km outside of Standerton and is one of its major attractions, bringing visitors wishing to see the dam and enjoy the activities. Standerton also has a variety of sports facilities to keep sport lovers occupied, whilst the towns amenities provide day-to-day entertainment like malls and movie houses.

There are many clubs available to join or even just visit when you’re on holiday. These include the 9-hole Standerton Golf Club and there is also a Bass-Fishing Club to keep the anglers happy, a boat club and a Model Aeroplane Club for model plane enthusiasts.
