  • The lounge contains a 2 seater couch and arm chair with table. Double french doors lead out on to the patio
  • The bedroom is open plan with the lounge and has a comfortable queen-size bed, linen is provided.
  • The kitchen has been newly renovated has everything needed for self-catering; 4-plate hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, pots & pans, cultery & crockery.
  • The cows in the next field are very inquisitive and will come up to the fence to see who you are and if you have any food to offer
  • Enjoy the sounds and smells of the farm whilst dining outside on the patio, if you are lucky the cows will come to the fence to visit.
  • All our chickens are free range.
  • The bathroom has been recently tiled and contains a corner bath, shower, sink and toilet. Towels are not provided so please bring your own with you when you come visit.
  • If you are an early riser you will first hear the balloons and then you can track them across the horizon as they make their way towards the town of Magaliesburg
  • Should you wish to picnic down by the Magalies River, which runs through the property, the grove offers a lovey shady retreat to laze and contemplate life

Getaway and explore the Magalies Meander of Gauteng and North West Province when you stay at The Farm House Hartebeestfontein. At the foot of the legendary Magaliesberg lies the privately owned Farm House, a perfect setting to experience a romantic weekend. This intimate and secure cottage is in the Hartebeestfontein Conservancy and is the ideal location from which to explore the array of local attractions that the area has to offer.

For those who want to splash out on additional entertainment for their own account there are many things to do: nature enthusiasts will appreciate the abundance of wildlife and scenic splendours, cultural excursions, guided walks and boat cruises.

For those who prefer the relaxing sound of birdsong will love the indigenous gardens of The Farm House. The area is home to world class golf courses, breathtaking hiking trails and a wide variety of horseback riding trials. This Farm style Self Catering accommodation has exceptionally beautiful views of the surrounding Magaliesberg Mountains on 6 hectares, offering a tranquil getaway for the city slicker.

We had a wonderful time. Thanks so much for the excellent service and attention to detail. Jenny was also very accomodating with checking in and out times. The cottage is well equipped and perfect for a weekend away for two. It was cozy and secluded and we were able to relax and forget about the big city for a short time.

This is a very cosy and peaceful place. We have been to various places but do feel that it is a bit expensive for what this unit/place has to offer.
