To relax and unwind - the peaceful and tranquil small seafront village of Pearly Beach is situated 180km east of Cape Town.
Seemingly endless unspoiled white beaches, dispersed by rocky outcrops with clear and calm rock pools, stretch in both directions. The sea and mountain views are spectacular.
The Whale Watching from the balcony is excellent. In the evening, gaze at the dazzling array of stars and maybe even witness the milky way.
Among a large variety of birds, the endangered African Black Oystercatcher nests here.
Unique Wildlife Experience: From July to January the Southern Right Whales come to our shores to mate and calve. Dolphins can also be seen frequently.
Along the seafront and in the nearby mountains you can admire a stunning variety of fynbos plants, for which the Cape Region of South Africa is world famous. In the spring (August-October), the wild flowers put on a beautiful show.
The Ark is only a stone's throw away from the beautiful beach.
The guest accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms — 2 double ensuite and 1 family room with private bathroom, and a comfortable lounge. Tea and coffee facilities are available.

We are situated between Hermanus and Cape Agulhas 2 hours from Cape Town, and many of our guests stay with us at the start or end of their Garden Route adventure.
Beach:
White, sandy beaches that appear to go on forever. Sea ideal for paddling or swimming as the temperature is the same all year round.
Great Outdoors:
Southern Right Whales come to mate and calve in the bay that The Ark overlooks.
Outstanding Views:
The Ark has wonderful views of the mountains and sea. After the sun has gone down over the sea, you may see the Milky Way. As there are no street lights in Pearly Beach, you will have the most wonderful view of the stars.
