What an idyllic place! Jume Smith's cuisine is excellent, outstanding value for money, and she and John made our stay both enjoyable and memorable. We were sorry that we could not stay longer.

My friends Ingrid and Marieta have just come back from SA and they enjoyed their stay at Thatchers Country Guest House very much. Every thing was up to their expectations and even more. This is a place I will keep in my directory to come and stay myself or and surely recommend to other people.
One suggestion though, we assumed that payment would be OK by credit cards and they were astonished they had to pay cash. May I recommend to state it when some one makes the bookings; especia ... more

Description
Thatchers is a lovely thatched homestead on a working farm, set in the tranquil surrounds of the beautiful Biggarsberg within easy reach of many of the famous battlefelds sites. Thatchers is an ideal stop over between Kruger Park/Gauteng and Natal Coast.
3 double bedroom with tea coffee making facilities, all with ensuite bathrooms and undertile heating.
Enjoy wholesome farm breakfasts on the verandah overlooking a dam. dinner and other meals on request. Hiking, horseriding, fishing or simply relaxing and enjoying- Thatchers is the place to do it.
