Only nine kilometers from Ficksburg this private nature reserve lies nestled between the mountains in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Eastern Free State, with a view over the Meulspruit Dam. The breathtaking mountain vistas will enchant you and give you a feeling of unforgettable freedom. With seventeen game species roaming in the valley and on the mountain plateau’s the reserve is a unique holiday destination. The lodge sleeps 8 people, and consists of two separate sleeping units fully equipped, each with their own en suite bathroom, one double bed and two single beds. The kitchen is fully equipped for eight people with a nice fire-place and lounge area. There is also a swimming pool and a lapa (outdoor braai area) with a breath taking view of the valley. Relax around the pool, while you listen to the sounds of nature. For the more active there are lots to do, such as: day hikes, canoeing and mountain biking (bring your own), game drives, picnicking, fishing, birding or climb up to the San paintings. Trophy hunting is also available for the hunter, guided by a professional hunter. If you want to explore the surrounding area, Ficksburg is ideally located close to other tourist attractions, such as: Clarens, Golden Gate National Park, Maseru, Lesotho and the Katse Dam.
