Tenahead Mountain Lodge and Spa

We unfortunately arrived late at night but the Lodge people were all ready and waiting. The atmosphere and location and service and food was excellent. Our compliments to all the staff. Planning already to go back.

Where should I start? The setting of this establishment was specially build by God, just short of heaven. All our desires where fulfilled by the absolute fantastic staff of Nolen and Shauna. Jacques the 6 star chef has once again pushed the standard of cuisine to the next level. Our car broke down on one of our day excursions, and Nolan on his day off came to fetch us. He was even prepared to cancel their off week to assist me in arriving safely at the first destination where somebody can assist us with our car. I want to thank you all for making this holiday so special and I am sure we will meet up in the near future.

Far from the Madding Crowd!! No cell phones and just absolute bliss!! We rode horses for two days and William was great although he did not come with us he was very good with the horses. The horses are so reliable and sure footed. We really loved our rides.

There are not enough words to describe how special and magical Tenahead is! This place is SA's best kept secret and we wish we had known of it earlier! It was the highlight of a month long trip around Eastern Cape and we will try everything to visit there again. It takes a long time to get there no matter which city you travel from in SA, but it sure is worth every kilometre!!

Leon and Nadine were great hosts and we had interesting conversations. The place was spotless and truly different and magic. The only problem was that the place was quite chilly as the underfloor heating was not operational. This was being attended to as we left.
