Tambuti Lodge

Tambuti Lodge is located in Rundu, the capital of the Kavango region. We are approximately 50 m from the river floodplain and 250 m from the Rundu town center. Tambuti is easily accessible and never flooded making it the ideal stopover before heading to the deeper Kavango and Caprivi Wild.

We have eight white-washed bungalows perched in a lush garden situated above the Kavango River. We have five Premium Bungalows with queen-size beds and en-suite bathrooms and three Premium Bungalows with twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. All bungalows have satellite TV, minibars, fans, telephones, and wireless Internet connectivity. Mosquito screens are fitted on the windows and mosquito nets hang over all beds.

We have a small restaurant specializing in traditional African food and drinks. This gives the lodge guests the opportunity to explore local flavours, add value to local products, and support the local communities providing the ingredients while considerably reducing the food miles. The lodge emphasizes its low local carbon footprint, using solar energy for all the lights and water heating, and enviro-flush septic tanks which do not connect to the under-capacitated municipal based treatments.
