Description

Tamarind Tree Lodge offers fully catered lodge accommodation comprising two stone Chalets. The Chalets are discreetly located along the river bank in the shade of very large tamarind and other indigenous trees.

The Chalets have been beautifully furnished to create a luxurious yet homely atmosphere. They are spacious and comfortable and each has two bedrooms each with twin beds and an en-suite bathroom. The private lounge in each Chalet can be made up to accommodate an extra two guests when families or groups of up to six people wish to stay together. Solar panels are used for lighting needs, but a generator is available to run air-conditioners in the bedrooms during the hottest months if required.

The central dining room and bar are positioned to give guests a spectacular view of the famous Redcliffs with the Zambezi River flowing in the foreground. Bush comfort is the order of the day as guests sit back, relax and enjoy ice cold drinks from our well-stocked bar. A viewing deck overlooking the river from where game can be seen coming down to drink, adds to the magic.

Meal times are flexible to suit guest’s requirements and depending on the activities, will usually comprise of a full English breakfast or brunch, a tasty light lunch and a sumptuous three course dinner in the evenings. We pride ourselves on the standard of our cuisine and with advance notice we will go out of our way to meet any special dietary requirements.
