Swartberg Private Game Lodge is a holiday rental property surrounded by natural beauty and abundant wildlife, just 55 km from Oudtshoorn. Set on a wildlife estate, the malaria- and predator-free environment offers a wonderful opportunity to explore.

The Swartberg Mountains provide a spectacular backdrop to easy game viewing of giraffe, the endangered Cape Mountain zebra, wildebeest and numerous antelope ranging from eland, the largest species in the world, to kudu, nyala, gemsbok, lechwe, springbok, impala and many more.

The Swartberg Mountains have been proclaimed a World Heritage site as part of the Cape Floristic Region, and this area is home to three different biomes, namely Succulent Karoo, Fynbos, and Renosterveld. Bird life is abundant, as are photo opportunities.

The lodge is reflective of the Karoo Colonial farm style and its furnishings are comfortable, but with an air of understated luxury. Accommodation in the rooms is spacious, comfortable and somewhat elegant, with attention paid to the finer details. The rooms' décor draws inspiration from the surrounding flora and fauna, each with its own theme.

Accommodation is on a self-catering basis, with a very well-equipped kitchen and staffed daily. Guests also have the use of a game-viewing Landover, with driver, to be able to explore the estate and view the abundant wildlife.
