We stayed at Swallow's nest on our way to Addo elephant reserve and enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop there again on our way back to Cape Town and stayed on for an additional two nights. This provided a beautiful environment in which to stay, which was relaxing and welcoming. The breakfast was superb, with the dining area overlooking the ocean. We are situated within walking distance of the lagoon and the beach, and you can be assured of a very memorable visit to Plettenberg Bay, "The Jewel of the Garden Route." Swallows Nest has 5 Luxury Rooms. Our Rooms are all luxuriously appointed to cater to your every need. Complimentary Sherry on arrival Televisions with DSTV Bar Fridges in all rooms Private Entrances with own Patios Tea/Coffee Facilities Electric Blankets and heaters for winter Ceiling fans for Summer Laundry Facilities Available Children Welcome The unique and most exciting feature of this area is the abundance in marine mammals in the bay which is flanked by two marine nature reserves and therefore rich in food for the resident whales and dolphins. During July to September every year, Southern Right Whales migrate to this part of the Indian Ocean to calve. There are organised boat trips all year round to see Brydes whales and dolphins. Huge schools of dolphin surfing the breakers or leaping clear of the blue sea, are a regular sight throughout the year.
