We extend a very warm welcome to you at Swallows Nest Country Cottages, situated in the heart of the Tsitsikamma in the quaint village of Storms River. We offer a selection of six upmarket, spacious and very comfortable 2-bedroomed self-catering chalets, all with en-suite bathrooms with showers and/or baths, accommodating from two up to six persons per chalet, in a scenic and peaceful setting to enjoy your holiday surrounded by forests, mountains and the sea a short drive away. The chalets, situated in a scenic garden with an attractive swimming-pool, are fully equipped with electric hobs, microwave ovens, fridge/freezers, coloured TV’s, fans & heaters; linen and towels are supplied and each chalet has a lovely private patio with a BBQ/braai facility. Ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers, the Tsitsikamma is a wonderland for all and offers a variety of activities to keep guests entertained. Closely situated to the Tsitsikamma National Park with its breath-taking scenery and trails, enjoy a walk to the Suspension Bridge, the stone-age cave or take a short boat trip up the Storms River Gorge, enjoy peaceful walks in the unspoilt Tsitsikamma Forests. Also, for the more adventurous, there are unusual activities such as the Treetop Canopy Tours, Tsitsikamma Falls Zipline, Black Water Tubing down the Storms River Gorge, the world’s highest Bungee Jump off the Bloukrans Bridge, the attractions are many! Your hosts Ken and Corrie Dutton have been in the hospitality industry for many years and are able to advise you on all local and nearby attractions as well as looking after your comforts.

These chalets are ideal for the larger family or small groups of friends as they all accommodate up to six people per chalet. Hyacinth Cottage & Bluebell Cottage each offer a large lounge, dining-room, kitchen, one double bedroom with a queen size bed and a single bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower and upstairs, on the mezzanine floor, are an additional 3 single beds with an en-suite bathroom with a bath to relax in.

Oaktree Cottage & Black wood Cottage each offer a large lounge, dining-room, kitchen, one double bedroom with a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with a corner bath & shower and the second double bedroom offers a queen size bed and bunk beds and en-suite bathroom with a shower. These chalets are very comfortable and spacious, attractively furnished and fully equipped with modern conveniences. Linen & towels are supplied and the chalets also offer a lovely large patio with braai/barbeque facility overlooking a scenic garden and inviting swimming-pool.

These chalets sleep 2 to 3 people each and are ideal for honeymooners or a small family or group of friends. These chalets consist of a large lounge, one double bedroom with a queen size bed with en-suite bathroom with a corner bath & shower, one small bedroom with a single bed also en-suite to the single bathroom and a large open plan kitchen with dinner nook. The chalets are very comfortable, attractively furnished and fully equipped with all modern conveniences. Our stay was awesome.

Our stay was awesome. The unit was amazing. Had fun and plenty to do. Near the cottages are walks in the Forrest that are safe. We went on a 2 km hike with two children and they really enjoyed the walks. The cottage was stunning and the fresh air well speaks for itself. I only had one issue and that was the water but that was overcome by buying water at the little shop in the village. We had a super stay.I recommend the place for future. Take your own food and water and have a blast ... more
