Situated 485 km north of Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique, Sunset Lodge welcomes you to the serene beaches of Barra. Days can be spent enjoying the untouched, secluded beaches of Ponta da Barra, bathing in the warm Indian Ocean all year round, relaxing at the refreshing pool, snorkelling the vibrant reefs, or scuba diving magnificent corals that are home to intriguing marine life, including the very rare dugong. Horse rides, dhow trips to neighbouring villages, game fishing, and eco-adventure of salt water mangroves and flocks of flamingos add to the splendour.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even tho it was very very hot! We appreciated that you accommodated us at such short notice and made a staff available for our stay. As there were no aircons, more ceiling fans would have been great to combat the heat. The pool bar was overcrowded with visitors from other lodges and made it a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise it was G8!! We love Mozambique and will return for another holiday.
