The nearest Parks and Reserves are Lengwe National Park, About 75 km's away, home of the shy nyala, just an hour away down the Chikwawa escarpment south of Blantyre near the sugar estates at Nchalo. A few kilometers away is the newly revitalised Majete Wildlife Reserve where elephants and other large species have recently been re-introduced.
