SUNBIRD LODGE
I have to say being in a town like Phalaborwa I had expected the worst as I did in a racist town of Musina a few years ago.I got a very nice wholehearted welcome with a smile.The surroundings there were just fabulous. i felt I could just extend my stay over there. I will definitely return there when I visit Phalaborwa, as this was not my last trip.

Awesome stay at Sunbird
My family and I were desperate to book into the Kruger Park in December, but because it was fully booked we were "forced" to look outside the park - Wow!!! Are we glad that happened, We absolutely loved our two nights at Sunbird, Dave was an amazing host and created such a relaxed atmosphere and overfed us at the amazing breakfasts that he provided for us. Nothing was too much for him and his staff during our brief stay and they met all our needs and more. We look forward to returning!!!

Sunbird Lodge is a family run business, emphasizing on good quality & friendly service! Experience the ambiance of more than 2.5 acres of tropical gardens which give host to a wide variety of bird-life, just relax and let your hosts Samantha and David Lockhart ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Laze by the swimming pool, sit under one of our Lapa’s with a drink from the bar or take in the gardens at night looking at the stars, you can just unwind and let your stress melt away. Accommodation is available on either a Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering basis. Lunches and evening meals can be provided on request. Choose from one of five rooms on the main house, all with their own private access from the gardens or one of two rooms by the swimming pool. All the rooms are either twin or double bedded with an en suite bathroom (either bath and shower or just shower), all have TV's, air conditioning and ceiling fans and have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have their own stoops with table and chairs. We also have a large, fully contained one bed roomed cottage, which can sleep up to 6 people. All our rooms are spacious and of a good standard. We also offer excellent braai facilities, a unique African bar, a large swimming pool, secure parking, laundry service, fax and Internet (WIFI) connections. Transfers from Pahalaborwa airport can also be arranged for a nominal fee.
